Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth
Our driver-guide picks you up from Kampala at your hotel or place of residence by 7:30 am after your early morning breakfast, and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make your first stopover at the Equator crossing for photography and then continue with the visit to the Igongo Cultural Center in Biharwe, Mbarara, to learn and see the evolution of the Ankole culture.
After lunch at Agip Motel Mbarara, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth as you enjoy beautiful scenery, herds of long-horned Ankole cattle, tea plantations in Ishaka, rift valley escarpment, open grassland, and woodland savanna. You will then get on an evening game drive for sightseeing, which is much more rewarding en route as you drive to your lodge.

Day 2: Wildlife in Queen Elizabeth Park
With the previous day’s memories, enjoy your breakfast ready for a guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. After a primate walk and lunch, a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is a worthwhile opportunity to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, and warthogs among others. Day 3: Full-Day Kasoga Community Visit
Today is dedicated for a community treat at the Kasoga Village. You will embark on a village walk. The community walk includes visitation to the landing site and getting marine information, the fish preservation stoves, traditional canoe-making demonstrations, proceed for net sawing, and a chance to see women making crafts.
In the afternoon you will take on a canoe ride canoeing activity that involves getting information on the history of Irangara and Rubona Islands, showing different schools of hippos. You will combine the Kasoga visit with a cultural excursion. Visitors usually participate and admire the local milking processes, escorting cattle to the bush within the community parameters, and the indigenous methods of milk preservation to produce local yogurt and finally get ghee.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Park – Kampala/Entebbe Airport
Begin your day with a cup of coffee, and then an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queen’s Mile, which makes visitors encounter elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, kobs, and a variety of bird species. You will thereafter return to Kampala with lunch en route and a stopover at the Equator crossing line in Kasese.
