    Experience this wildlife safari in Queen and Murchison Falls, for the best chance to traverse Uganda’s most popular wildlife national parks. On this tour, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park located in south-western Uganda, for a fantastic game drive along Kasenyi and Queen’s Mile, which makes visitors encounter African elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, and a variety of bird species.

    While on this wildlife safari in Queen and Murchison falls, you will also enjoy a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel, and then head to Murchison Falls National Park for another boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile, to the base of the falls, stopping just tens of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’.

    While en route, you will also marvel at the toothsome hippos, and crocodiles, and over this 17 km stretch, you may see giant African elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs.     Wildlife Safari Queen Murchison Falls Itinerary:

    Day 1: Kampala- Queen Elizabeth

    Our driver-guide picks you up from Kampala at your hotel or place of residence by 7:30 am after your early morning breakfast, and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make your first stopover at the Equator crossing for photography and then continue with the visit to the Igongo Cultural Center in Biharwe, Mbarara, to learn and see the evolution of the Ankole culture.

    After lunch at Agip Motel Mbarara, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth as you enjoy beautiful scenery, herds of long-horned Ankole cattle, tea plantations in Ishaka, rift valley escarpment, open grassland, and woodland savanna. You will then get on an evening game drive for sightseeing, which is much more rewarding en route as you drive to your lodge.

    Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Get on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queen’s Mile, which makes visitors encounter elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, kobs, and a variety of bird species., and then return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.

    After lunch, an evening two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is a worthwhile opportunity to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, and warthogs among others. This trip also gives visitors a chance to see spectacular bird species.

    Day 3: Queen Elizabeth Park – Hoima

    Begin the panoramic drive northwards through Fort Portal countryside, while passing traditional homesteads and farms along the Albertine Rift escarpments. You will arrive in Hoima for a break on your long journey.

    Overnight stay and meals at Hoima Cultural Loge (luxury lodge facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

     Day 4: Hoima – Murchison Falls – Part of Wildlife Safari Queen Murchison Falls

    Get on an early morning transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. After your lunch, you will go for a boat safari upstream of the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls in the afternoon, stopping just tens of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’.

    En route, you will marvel at the toothsome hippos and crocodiles, and over this 17 km stretch, you will see giant African elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs. This is also a zone of many bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork.

    While here you will leave the boat and start your – quite heavy – hike to the top of the falls (for approximately 1 hour). You will see where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment, to plunge into a frothing pool at about 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge.

    Day 5: Murchison Falls – Kampala

    Your guide will help you spot another set of giant African elephants, lions, cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, Oribi, Bohor reedbuck, hyenas, and the leopard – if you are lucky. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and then cross the ferry and drive back to Kampala after a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino trekking experience and a picnic lunch. Return to Kampala and Entebbe for your evening flight back home or your next destination. Meal plan: breakfast and lunch.
