Kikorongo Safari Lodge is one of the newest additions of luxury lodges just across the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. This magical lodge towers above Kasese hills along Mpondwe road, that’s about 25 km south of Kasese.
Kikorongo Safari Lodge has different dotted spice-thatched cottages that offer a bespoke safari experience, with a promise of luxury in the wilderness.
The lodge is one of our favorite places in all of Queen Elizabeth National Park, idyllically located on one of the steep hills in Kasese. The lodge beautifully overlooks both Lake George and the famous Kazinga channel, surrounded by Rwenzori Mountains. So, it is amidst a host of incredible one-of-a-kind experiences that attract a varied range of animal and bird species. This is one of the world’s largest concentrations of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles.
Accommodation at Kikorongo Safari Lodge
Kikorongo Safari Lodge comprises 15 uniquely designed cottages spread out over 15 hectares of an incredibly steep landscape. The cottages are built with a customized view of the surrounding lakes and landscape.
All hosted guests hike to their cottages, which provides an experience in itself because of the rich escapements on either side of the hill. The design of the cottages provides privacy through the natural untouched bush surrounding each one of them.
The lodge houses 3 different types of accommodation ranging from our luxury tents located at the highest point of the escarpments. The tented luxury cottages, edge luxury intimate cottages, and a rift valley tent camp area, are all self-contained.
All cottages have Wi-Fi with an ample space to relax, while enjoying a house beverage or socialize.
Massage services are available and a swimming pool is an ideal spot to cool off on a hot afternoon in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Three-course meals, that comprise freshest local ingredients, can be served in a day. Bush breakfast is also available at request.
