Kingfisher Lodge is located just on the edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park, in the Kichwamba area. That is about 250 meters above the plains, with a spectacular view of the park, Lake George, the Kazinga channel, and the Rwenzori mountain ranges.
Kingfisher Lodge is among the finest safari lodges in Queen Elizabeth National Park that tourists can stay at, for a wildlife safari in Uganda. You can combine visiting Queen Elizabeth National Park with a gorilla trekking safari to the nearby Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

- 13 double rooms with a view of the park (8 of which can be used as twins, 4 as triple)
- 5 twin rooms (2 can also be used as triples)

Currently, Kingfisher Lodge is developing a spa that will have a sauna, steam bath, massage room (already in place), and hot tub among other facilities.
All rates are for half board. If there are more than 10 guests residing we may offer a buffet dinner, otherwise, it is a set menu or a la carte. If requested, we can make an African buffet.
Getting to Kingfisher Lodge
Kingfisher Lodge is just 44 km after Ishaka. You’ll a signpost on your right hand just near Kichwamba Secondary School. Shortly after, you will branch off on your left, following Kingfisher’s signpost.
Within 500m you will have reached the lodge in Kichwamba. Should you find the cotton ginnery, then you will have gone about 1 km ahead of the lodge.

Kingfisher Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park offers many activities, which include game drives, bird watching, and the famous launch cruise along the Kazinga channel.
Don’t miss chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge, and forest walks in Kalinzu forest or Maramagambo forest, all of which provide truly memorable wildlife experiences.
